Mom burnout is not fun.Trust me on that. I was forced to spend a long time in hospital coping with ‘burnout’. See, at the time I was infected with the ‘supermom’ virus even though I had a chronic illness.

  1. You have covered various aspects of self care so beautifully. Earlier I did not practice self care and it resulted in me being cranky and not happy about anything, getting angry all the time. Finally I realized what I was doing wrong and turned my life around making me a happier person to be around.

When she didn’t spend anything on herself – she was sending me a message.

    So, while she taught me many things in life, I had to learn the art of self-care somewhere else.

    1. Please please take some time out for yourself. I was forced to stay in hospital for 51/2 weeks and could have been avoided had I heeded all the warning signs my body had been giving me.
